These interviews are part of the Orpheus research project on the evolution and genesis of contemporary cello music. They serve as source-texts on the compelling cello works of late 20th century composers. Subjects such as historical backgrounds, notational matters, conceptual or analytical notions, musico-philosophical contexts, next to provocations, reflections and commentaries... instigate a flow of idea's,... metaphors, aphorisms, quotations and again questions on music. Words on music ... they all cohere all right.
